A Recurring Dilemma
"Picking teams."
"Setting the raid group."
"Splitting the party."
It doesn't seem to matter what you call it-- the separation of any unit causes drama, as it puts pieces into conflict and comparison. But as we are here to deliver the dramatic, this scenario was the fastest method of said delivery.
The pulling apart of a greater whole can cause hurt, jealousy, confusion, and panic. It can weaken and leave your rear unguarded (and you should always cover your rear in public-- there are laws about that).
These adventures derive their initial spark from the merry band that originated the name "Orr," and that crew had a great many moments of division. A few of the most sinister were "graduation", "animation", "marriage", "taking a break from video games", and being "so adult you cannot possibly understand." There came a time where it seemed the party was over, once and for all-- the group scattered to the winds across an entire nation.
But somehow we came back. The how's and why's of a friendship rekindling taking on an importance that warranted press coverage. A method that united thousands of others and caused new alliances to form. Sometimes the adversity of pulling something apart makes it come back together all the stronger.
Sometimes the best parts are the reunions.
